Ingredients
1 cup of warm water
2 1/4 tsp of active dry yeast
2 tbsp of sugar
2 large eggs
3 tbsp of melted butter
1 tsp of salt
3 cups of all purpose flour
sesame seeds
Directions
- Activate the yeast: add the water to a small bowl and heat up for 30 seconds in microwave. Add the active dry yeast and sugar to the warm water and set aside for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl: add the flour, 1 egg, butter, salt, and active yeast. The yeast mixture should foamy and have bubbles before adding into the large bowl.
- Use a mixer: and mix until fully blended. Then knead for 6-8 minutes.
- Once smooth and kneaded: add to a large bowl and set aside for 1 and a half hours.
- The dough: should be doubled in size after an hour and a half. Cut the dough into 8 pieces and make into balls.
- Put onto a flat pan: and lightly push the balls until the top is flat. Add one egg into a bowl and mix. Brush ontop of the dough balls and sprinkle seasme seeds ontop.
- Let rise: again for another 30 minutes.
- Cook in the oven: at 375 degrees for 15-18 minutes.
